Will Love Aid go viral?
The concert may be postponed, but the Love shines on-line.

Organisers of the star-studded beach fund-raiser for Japan may have been forced to postpone the live concert due to "bad weather", but the release of a new song - Shine a Loving Light - will help carry the message forward for Love Aid Phuket.

Produced by Gary Crause at his Legend Music studio here on the island, the song is performed by a wealth of Phuket-based talent.

"I called my writing partner Rob Cooke and immediately we set out about writing a song which ended up being Shine a Loving Light," Mr Crause said. "It took about a day to write and record the demo for the song, which we then sent out to artists on the island and invited them to participate."

The song features the vocal talents of Bonnie Anderson, Nikki Jackson, Ricky Zen, Rianne Davies, Marc Mulloy, Sascha Hendrix, and a host of other local artists.

"We’re really honoured and privileged to have had these artists give up their time to perform on the song."

The video, made during the recording of the song, was produced by Graham Andrews, and is currently working its way up the social media scene.

"I’d done some work with Graham Andrews before and really liked his vision and work ethic, so I invited him to capture the footage and do the video – and the results speak for themselves," Mr Crause explained.

The single of Shine a Loving Light is to be released for sale online in the coming days, with all sales going to benefit the Love Aid Phuket fundraising effort. Copies will also be available for sale at the live Love Aid Phuket concert.

Rotary Club committee chairman Brad Kenny said, “funds generated from Love Aid Phuket will be funnelled through the Rotary Club of Patong Beach to Rotary International Clubs in Japan that are already active in the devastated areas.”

Core organizers Kata Group Resorts, Centara Grand Beach resort and several other major hotels in Phuket have pledged their full support for the “Love Aid Phuket” fund-raising event, donating time and resources 100% free of charge.
